Music at Nexus

Over the last few weeks the roof has been raised and the pillars have shook, as musicians have taken to the stage. Below is a flyer for our next event.

Art enthusiasts...

Thanks to these two for coming into the night cafe last night. The guy was here just for the weekend from London, and made a special trip into Nexus to see the art exhibition. I was so impressed with their effort, and with the fact they came in the early hours of Sunday, that i just had to put their picture up here. Thanks guys hope you come and visit us again soon...

Nexus Night Cafe hits a record

Close to 200 people visited Nexus between 1am and 4am in the early hours of Sunday morning. Most of them were escaping the rain to get a brew and wait for a taxi. Thanks to Manchester Cars, no one had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a taxi. Thanks to the volunteers who worked hard and ensured everyone was fed and watered, and thanks to all those who visited, hope you enjoyed your night.

Street Angels

Inspired by Emma and her wings, Nexus will be launching Street Angels in partnership with the police and Manchester Churches (but minus the wings).

Angels will be hanging around on Saturday nights in the city centre trying to keep people safe, and be a point of contact for people needing help or advice.

So if you see and angel, make sure you say hi, and if you want to be an angel, then get in touch.

Film Night

Last night's film night was brilliant! Nexus was transformed in to a cinema, with big comfy sofas, large screen, and even a book stall. Meant to take a photo, but got too engrossed with the film! Watch out for the next one - 1st Sunday of every month.
